Today in our collection of free patterns, we have another Pokemon for you! I know how much you all love them, so I am trying to catch ’em all – haha, pun intended. Meet Psyduck – a cute little duck with a large beak and big eyes. But don’t worry, it’s going to be easy to crochet because you’ll only need two colors and the most basic set of stitches. Plus, you’ll get to add a new Pokemon to your collection.
We will start with the wings/arms, then the tail, feet (you can optionally shape them), the beak, body, and eyes, and voila, you’ve created a wonderful Psyduck. Just a few finishing touches, and you’re all set!

- Yellow yarn for the body, wings and tail

- 6 mm crochet hook
- Scissors

Fasten off and leave a tail to sew the end closed.
Shaping the Feet
(Optional)
- Use beige yarn and insert it from behind the foot on the right side between row 3 and 4.
- Loop the yarn through the same st from behind and pull tight.
- Insert the needle back into the same st from the front and pull out from the left side between row 3 and 4.
- Repeat step 1 and 2 on the left side and fasten off. Leave a til for sewing.
Beak
(Beige yarn)
Rnd 1: 5 sc in Mr (5)
Rnd 2: inc in each st (10)
Rnd 3: 1 sc in each st (10)
Rnd 4: (3 sc, dec) x 2 (8)
Rnd 5: (3 sc, inc) x 2 (10
Rnd 6: 3 sc, sl st and fasten off.
Leave a tail for sewing. Fill with stuffing if you are not adding nostrils.
Nostrils
(Optional)
- Use black yarn and insert it from the inside of the beak on the right side between row 4 and 5.
- Insert the needle back into the beak between row 3 and , don’t pull too tight.
- Insert the needle from the inside of the beak on the left side 1 st apart between row 4 and 5.
- Insert te needle back into the beak between row 3 and 4, don’t pull too tight.
- Tie a knot with the black thread on the inside of the beak.
- Fill the beak lightly with stuffing.

Rnd 2: inc in each st (12)

Hair
(Black yarn)
Rnd 1: chain 4, skip 1 st and sl st x3 back into the chain
Rnd 2: chain 5, skip 1 st and sl st x 4 back into the chain
Rnd 3: chain 4, skip 1 st and sl st x 33 back into the chain
Fasten off and leave a tail for sewing.
Eyes x2
- Cut out 2 white circles (diameter 23 mm) and 2 smaller black circles (diameter 16 mm)
- Cit out 2 white twinkle shaped pieces
- Glue and/or sew the black circles onto the white circles and glue and or sew the white twinkes onto the back circkes
Assembly
- Feet: pina and sew the feet underneath the body on row 12, 3 stitches apart.
- Tail: pin and sew the tail pointing upwards onto the body on the back in the middle, between row 9 and 11.
- Beak: pin and sew the beak onto the front of the body in the middle between row 6 and 9.
- Eyes: pin, glue and/or sew the eys left and right of the beak between row 6 and 9.
- Wings: pin and sew the wings pointing upwards on the sides on the body between row 7 and 9.
- Hair: sew or sl st the hair on top of the body onto row 1.
