  • A bit of black and blue lightweight yarn for decorating
  • Polyester fiberfill for stuffing

Body

We will start with the legs with white color.

Rnd 1: 8 sc in magic ring (8)
Rnd 2-6: sc around (8)

Fasten off. Make the 2nd leg using the same pattern, Do not fasten off, as we will use this yarn. We will now go on crocheting the body,

Rnd 7: in this round, we will join the legs, ending with 24 sts in total. With the 2nd leg on your hook 4 ch and join the 1st leg with a sl st. Now sc around the 1st leg (8 sc) and work 1 sc in each stitch along the chain (4 sc). Then 8 sc around the second leg and 4 sc along the chain again,

Rnd 9: (3 sc, 1 inc) x 8 (40)

Chane to red yarn. Stuff as you go.

Fold in half and sew or crochet through both layers. Fasten off and weave in the ends.

Sew the ears to the head and hide the yarn ends.

Arms x2

Start with white color.

Rnd 1: 8 sc in magic ring (8)
Rnd 2-3: sc around (8)

Change to red color.

Rnd 4: sc around (8)
Rnd 5: FLO: (2 ch, 1 sc) x 8 (8)
Rnd 6: BLO: sc around (8)
Rnd 7-13: sc around (8)

Stuff very slightly and fasten off, leaving a tail for sewing. If you’d like to make your toy poseable, you can insert the wire in the arms.

Assembling

  • With black yarn embroider nose and eyelashes.
  • Finishing the dress: join red yarn to the front loop of round 29 of the body. Work in FLO of this round. Make sure you start at the back of the toy. Then fasten off and weave in ends.
    Rnd 1: FLO: (3 ch, 1 sc) around (48)
  • Join red yarn to the front loop of round 13 of the body. Work in FLO of this round. You will also need to turn the doll upside down. Then fasten off and weave in ends.
    Rnd 1: FLO: dc around (56)
    Rnd 2: (2 ch, 1 sc) around (56)
  • Sew arms to the body between rounds 26-27.
  • With thin light blue yarn embroidery simple snowflakes.
