  • 4-5 mm crochet hook
  • Chunky yarn (Premier yarns parfait chunky or himalaya dolphin baby yarn)
  • 12 mm safety eyes
  • Black embroidery thread
  • Yarn needle

Ch – chain
Sc – single crochet
Inc – increase
Dec – decrease
BLO – back loops onle
St – stitch
Sl st – slip stitch
Rnd – round


Start off with bun color.

Rnd 1: 8 sc in Mr (8)
Rnd 2: (inc) * 8 (16)
Rnd 3: (1 sc, inc) * 8 (24)
Rnd 4: (3 sc, inc) * 6 (30)
Rnd 5: (4 sc, inc) * 6 (36)
Rnd 6-8: sc all around (36)

Switch to tomato color.


Rnd 9: BLO sc all around (36)

Switch to meat color.


Rnd 10: BLO sc all around (36)
Rnd 11: sc all around (36)

Switch to bun color.

Bottom Bun

Rnd 12: BLO sc all around in bun color (36)
Rnd 13: (4 sc, dec) * 6 (30)

Start stuffing. Insert eyes between rounds 6-7, 6 stitches apart.

Rnd 14: (3 sc, dec) * 6 (24)
Rnd 15: (1 sc, dec) * 8 (16)
Rnd 16: (dec) * 8 (8)

Finish off and leave a long tail to sew your bear-ger shut.


Insert your hook into the first front loop from the tomato on round 9.

Make sure that the head is facing the bottom when you insert your hook.

Finish off and hide the tail.

Hambearger Pattern tips 1


Using nose color of your choice.

Rnd 1: 8 sc in Mr (8)

Finish off and leave a long tail to sew onto the head. Embroider on the black nose and sew muzzle between rounds 6-7 in between the eyes.

Ears x2

Using bun color.

Rnd 1: 4 sc in Mr (4)
Rnd 2: ch 1, turn, (inc) * 4 (8)

Ch1 and finish off. Leave a long tail to sew onto head between rounds 3-7. Make two of these.
