Easy Little Pumpkin Crochet Pattern

Hello, crafty buddies! Today, I’ve got something special for you, my oh-so-adorable easy little pumpkin crochet pattern. Trust me, each stitch is not just a knot, but a thought, a warm, cozy thought of fall. It’s like cradling a crisp autumn afternoon in your hands. See, I’m getting emotionally hooked (pun intended!) just describing it!

This cute pumpkin pattern is incredibly simple; the perfect project for beginners or the more experienced crocheters looking for a quick, fun project. It’s reminiscent of my Grandma Nana’s crochet lessons – simple, filled with love, and full of surprises. So my darlings, ready your hooks and yarns, let’s dive into the crafty ocean and come out with beautiful pumpkins!

Designer: Aria Crea

  • A bit of yarn from 3 different balls – orange/light brown/cream colors
  • Soft stuffing
  • 2.25 and 3.00 mm crochet hooks
  • Row marker
  • Thread cuttern
  • Yarn needle

Mr – magic ring
St – stich
Ch – chain
Sc – single crochet
Hdc – half double crochet
Sl st – slip stitch
Inc – increase
BLO – back loop only

Using a 3 mm hook and orange yarn. To start, ch 17 and do R1 starting in 2nd ch from hook.

Rnd 1: 2 sl st, 2 sc, 8 hdc, 2 sc, 2 sl st

For each following round, only use back loops. This will give your pumpkin a nice relief.

Rnd 2: 1 ch to turn and 2 sl st, 2 sc, 8 hdc, 2 sc, 2 sl st BLO all the row.

Repeat this round until you have a total of 36. To close the pumpkin, do 16 sl st on both R1 and R36 together.

Upper Part

With 3 mm hook, light brown/cream yarn.

Rnd 1: Mr with 4 sc (4)
Rnd 2: 4 sc (4)
Rnd 3: 3 sc, 1 inc (5)
Rnd 4: 4 sc, 1 inc (6)
Rnd 5: 6 inc (12)
Rnd 6: 1 sc, 1 inc (18)

1 sl st, cut the yarn leaving a tail to sew. Sew it on the top of the pumpkin.

Bottom Part

Use a 3 mm hook and light brown or cream yarn.

Stuff the pumpkin, not too much so that the relief does not disappear.

Rnd 1: Mr with 6 sc (6)
Rnd 2: 6 inc (12)

1 sl st, cut the yarn leaving a tail to sew. Sew it on the bottom of the pumpkin.

1 st of the bottom part for 1 st of the pumpkin part and then 1 st of the bottom part for 2 st of the pumping part.

Spiral Stem

Using 2.25 mm hook and green yarn – ch 16 and do 15 inc starting in 2nd ch from hook.
