Cute Jumping Spider Free Crochet Pattern

Howdy, crochet comrades! Stirring up a bit of thrilling fun, I’ve tangled myself in a wonderfully peculiar project – the jumping spider. Now, I can hear your gasps! But trust me, these little creatures are more enchanting than eerie when they’re made out of cozy yarn.

Visualize this adventure. You start by fashioning the spider’s round body, then add those eight characteristic legs, bringing the amiable arachnid to life stitch by stitch. Don’t forget those adorable beady eyes – they are the finishing touch that makes your crochet critter come alive. Every time a spider takes shape under my hooks, it’s like crafting my own little piece of natural wonder. And it’s mesmerizing!

Remember, even in crocheting a spider, practice is key. You might fumble on the first few tries, but hang in there. With every undo and redo, you are getting closer to mastering this pattern. Ready for this fascinating crawl?

Do not stuff the legs. Cut the yarn leaving a tail for sewing. Cut a piece of wire more than twice as long as the leg. Fold the wire in half and twist it around its axis using pliers. Insert the wire into the leg with the rounded end. Punch the sharp end into the spider’s body and sew the leg on approximately at the height of rounds 12-13. Sew all the legs symmetrically around the body.

Sew the head to the body, trying to find the center of gravity. Spider should stand steadily if you bend its legs properly.

Sew the chelicerae between head and body.
