Cute Beetroot Free Crochet Pattern

Oh, the joy of crocheting! The moment I stumbled upon this beetroot crochet pattern, a flood of emotions overcame me. You see, beetroot holds a special place in my heart… from vibrant summer salads at family picnics to the rich borscht during the chilly months. This pattern? It’s a heartwarming tribute to this earthy veggie.

With its striking color and detailed texture, this crochet pattern perfectly mimics the beet’s bulbous shape and those cute, little leafy greens sprouting from the top. And let’s not forget about that deep, rich hue – it’s almost as if you’ve plucked it straight from the soil! Each stitch and turn unravels a story of nature’s wondrous creation. A beet may be common in the kitchen, but this crafted version? It’s anything but ordinary.

For those who share my sentiment for veggies or are just looking for a fun, quirky addition to their crochet collection – this pattern’s a godsend. Go on, get your hooks ready, and immerse yourself in this delightful crafting journey. And when you’re done, you’ll have a beet that doesn’t just look good, but lasts forever, no refrigeration required!

Fasten off.

Leafs

Hook 2.00, 2.50 or 3.00 mm depending on the size you wish it to be.

Yarn: same as your beet.

The work is crocheted around the foundation chain. Chain 21 and start in the 2nd loop from the hook.

Leaf 1: (3 hdc), 1 sl st
Leaf 2: (chain 2, 2 dc, chain 2, 1 sl st), 1 sl st
Leaf 3: (chain 2, 2 dc, chain 2, 1 sl st), 1 sl st
Leaf 4: (chain 3, 2 tr, chain 3, 1 sl st), 1 sl st, 1 sc
Leaf 5: (chain 3, 6 tr, chain 3, 1 sl st), 1 sc

The last stitch is used to go around the foundation chain and is not used again. Now continue on the other side of the foundation chain:

Leaf 6: 1 sl st, (chain 3, 2 tr, chain 3, 1 sl st)
Leaf 7: 1 sl st, (chain 2, 2 dc, chain 2, 1 sl st)
Leaf 8: 1 sl st, (chain 2, 2 dc, chain 2, 1 sl st)
Leaf 9: 1 sl st, (3 hdc), 1 sc, 1 sc

Do not crochet the last stitches!

Cut the yarn and fasten off all ends.

Make as many leafs as you wish and sew them on through the top.

So there you have it, my fellow crocheters! A cute and lovely beetroot-shaped amigurumi that you can easily create with just a few materials and simple steps. I hope you enjoyed following along with this tutorial as much as I did sharing it with all of you.

Keep on crafting, my friends!
