Adorable Owl Rattle Free Crochet Pattern

Oh, darlings, do I have something special for you today! Picture this: a cozy afternoon, a little one’s laughter filling the room, and an owl rattle in those tiny, curious hands. That’s the dream, isn’t it? Well, I can’t bottle sunshine, but I can sure as heck help you make that owl rattle! This pattern is so delightful and surprisingly simple, even your cat will wonder why you’re grinning like a Cheshire at your crochet project.

So why an owl rattle, you might ask? Well, owls are wise, adorable, and – let’s face it – pretty darn fashionable these days. Creating this little hooter was pure joy for me; it was like each stitch was imbued with a dollop of love and a dash of magic.

Go ahead, give it a whirl; it’s the kind of project that makes you feel all warm and fuzzy inside, just like a hug in yarn form!

Crochet another 1-3 single crochets so that you are directly over the color change. Fill the owl with stuffing and a rattle ball. Fold the owl so that the color change is to the side. Crochet the owl together with single crochets through both loops on both sides along the top.

Do not cut the yarn, continue to make the strap for the wooden ring. Start with a chain 1 and turn:

Row 1: make 4 sc (4) – chain 1 and turn.
Row 2-7: 1 sc in each stitch (4)

Cut the yarn and leave a long string for assembling.

Sew the strap around the wooden ring.

Fasten off.
