Ah, the little owl. A creature so full of mystery and charm… I remember, many moons ago, when I’d sit on my porch during those chilly evenings, I’d often hear the distant hoots of these nocturnal wonders. It’s a sound that always brought me solace. And that’s precisely what spurred me to dive into this owl amigurumi pattern.
Let me tell ya, the journey – from picking the right yarn to adding the final touches to those wide-eyed expressions – was like a nostalgic trip down memory lane. The fluff, the roundness, and those mesmerizing eyes! Every hook and pull I made felt like I was crafting a keepsake from the world of night-time whispers and moonlit dances.
If you’ve got a soft spot for these feathered friends or know someone who does, this is the project you’ve been waiting for. Trust me, once you finish this darling, it won’t just sit on a shelf – it’ll hoot its way right into your heart.

Assembly
Insert the safety eyes between rounds 20 and 21, with an interspace of 8 stitches. To make the owl stand, you can cut a circle out of cardboard, and insert it on the bottom. Or then sew on the ring for the keychain. Stuff the body with fiberfill.

For the ear brushes, cut off two threads of each color 8 cm long. Make a knot in the middle. Sew the two halves of the owl’s head by inserting brushes along the edges with knots inward (example photo on the next page). Sew the eyes and wings to the body. Embroider the beak.
